Denne oppskriften er veldig enkelt og morsom om du ønsker å strikke en tøff genser fort. Jeg brukte store rundpinner i størrelse 12 (40cm og 60 cm) og skreddersydde den til mitt behov. Man kan selvfølgelig bruke andre pinner, en litt av designet er at maskene er store. Skal man bruke en annen pinnestørrelse, vil størrelsen på genseren i forhold til denne oppskriften endre seg litt og da må man tilpasse dette. Armene er store, men likevel ikke for lange, noe som gjør at de ikke kommer i veien. Det er også lett å tilpasse lengden på disse om dette skulle være ønskelig, og hvordan dette gjøres har jeg skrevet litt om nederst.
Jeg brukte garnet til Sandnes Garn som heter Tykk Ull og brukte 14 nøster. Når det er sagt er jeg veldig for at man bruker det man foretrekker, har eller ønsker å bruke. Om dette gjøres er det derimot viktig at man ser an litt underveis hvordan det blir med størrelse og eventuelt tilpasser dette. I tillegg vil antall nøster også avhenge av hvilke lengde du ønsker på genseren.

Strikk deretter de 32 maskene over på en 40cm rundpinne og legg til en maske mellom hver maske, slik at du har 64 masker, når du begynner å strikke med rundpinnen.

Så skal du begynne med de første hullene. Mønsteret er egentlig veldig enkelt, men viktig å holde tunga rett i munn når man holder på med dette de første gangene. Strikk 1 maske rett - fell deretter de 2 neste maskene - 1 maske rett - 2 masker fell - 1 maske rett - 2 masker fell, osv. Dette gjøres til du har strikket deg rundt og da skal du sitte igjen med 22 masker. Den første og siste masken vil det ikke være noe hull mellom, men dette vil heller ikke syntes.

Neste runde skal du legge til masker. Strikk første masken og legg til 1 maske. Strikk andre masken og legg til 2 masker. Strikk tredje masken og legg til 1 maske. Strikk fjerde masken og legg til 2 masker. Slik fortsetter du til du har strikket runden ferdig og da skal du sitte igjen med 53 masker.

Dette mønsteret fortsetter og gjøres tilsammen fem ganger. Om man ønsker lenger armer, kan man gjøre det 6 ganger, men da er det viktig at etter felling så legger man til 2 masker etter hver maske (ikke 1, så 2), slik at man ikke har færre enn det antallet man har på slutten i den femte runden. Armene ville da trolig blitt litt trange. Når man har strikket ønsket lengde på armene, begynner med å strikke kroppen.

Jeg strikket en liten flette på hver side, så om dette eller andre detaljer er ønskelig er dette fullt mulig når designet er såpass enkelt. Eneste som må passes på et at om man ønsker, f.eks. en flette som jeg lagde, at den er rett under armene.
OVERDELEN
Når du har strikket ønsket lengde på genseren, skal du strikke armene og kroppen sammen. Dette er egentlig veldig enkelt, men det kan virke litt vanskelig i starten. Når du har gjort det ett par ganger, er det derimot veldig klart at det er samme mønster og teknikk som går igjen hele veien.
